OUR POLICY

CUSTOMER CARE

As a family run business, we understand the importance of treating our customers and their furry family members with care and respect. Our team is always ready to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have. We strive to provide exceptional service to ensure you and your pooch have the best experience possible.

Cancellation and Missed Appointment Policy

We know that life can be unpredictable and sometimes cancellations to appointments can happen. At Pooch Perfect, we have a policy in place to ensure that our small business runs efficiently and fairly for all of our clients. We ask that you give us 24 hour notice for any cancellations, so we can offer the time slot to other clients.

If you miss or cancel an appointment without providing this notice period, we will charge 50% of the booked service. We value your time, and we hope you understand the importance of this policy.

Online Orders

All online orders with Pooch Perfect are fulfilled within the same day if you order before 3pm. We expect delivery time to be between 2-5 days, depending on the courier. Our standard delivery rate is only £3.00, which makes it affordable and convenient for you to get the products you need for your furry friend. Thank you for choosing Pooch Perfect for your dog grooming needs!

Animal Welfare Act 2006

At Pooch Perfect, looking after your dogs and treating them like they are one of our own is our highest priority. Like pet owners, we as dog groomers also share the responsibilities of the Animal Welfare Act 2006.

  1. A suitable environment - Our facilities are safe, hygienic and cleaned regularly daily. A deep clean is also carried out after every working day.

  2. A suitable diet - Fresh drinking water is provided by our groomers. Our treats that we provide your dogs or that you can buy in store, are also all natural.

  3. To be able to exhibit normal behaviour patterns - We allow dogs to have regular breaks and groom at a suitable pace to the dog. We also use dog snood earmuffs, as it helps to reduce anxiety from loud noises in our salon.

  4. To be housed with, or apart from, other animals - All dogs are treated by a case by case basis when you book through us, if your dog is not comfortable with other dogs then we are more than happy to accommodate and groom your dog on its own in the salon.

  5. To be protected from pain, suffering, injury and disease - We do not cage dogs in our salon and ensure that they are handled with safety. If there is any issue with your dog e.g. we notice an infection, we will tell you and advise you to visit your registered veterinarian. Matting on dogs causes discomfort and pain, heavy matting will require the dogs to be shaved as matts in a coat will grow tighter to the skin, causing pain. We will discuss this with the owner prior to the groom or through a phone call after drop off. There will be an extra charge for this service.

Related to point 5 - We have a supply of grooming combs and brushes available in store. We are more than happy to spend the time advising you and teaching you how to use them on your pooch.

Your dogs wellbeing is most important to us.
